The Nacra 15 is a performance catamaran used for racing. It went into production in 2015. It was designed as a smaller version of the Olympic multihull class, the Nacra 17. In recent years it has gained momentum offering sailors an additional option to compete at the international level.
The Nacra 15 is chosen by World Sailing as the World Sailing Youth Multihull in November 2015, to be used during the World Sailing Youth World Championships (from 2016) and during the Youth Olympic Games in 2018. The Nacra 15 is the pathway for young sailors on their way to the Nacra 17 and the Olympics.
In North America, this is the governing body where sailors and coaches can find rules of how the class will be run.
